Luncheon en Blanc, to be held at the  historic and beautiful Tairoa Lodge in Hawera, will be one of the memorable feature events at this year’s Taranaki Garden Festival.

Speaking  is the award-winning garden designer Kate Hillier who has horticulture coursing through her veins. Kate is the former Director of the New Zealand Flower & Garden Show. She and her famous family have collected a record number of golds in the United Kingdom’s celebrated Chelsea Flower Show. 

Kate Hillier is herself an experienced international flower show judge and has headed the former Ellerslie Flower Show. During the long, leisurely lunch you will become privy to the secrets of this amazing family’s enduring success.

The Luncheon en Blanc’s delectable three-course menu includes smoked chicken roulade, New Zealand salmon and New York cheesecake. Mike Radich has chosen the paired wines.

 The dress code for this event is all white.

You will be hosted by Linda and Steve Morrison, owners of the 144-year-old Tairoa Lodge, set amidst established flowering gardens, sweeping lawns and mature kauri and pohutukawa trees.

Luncheon en Blanc is on Saturday, November 2 starting at 11.30am. Bookings can be made at the TAFT office in New Plymouth or online at gardenfestnz.co.nz. Bookings are essential as there are limited numbers, secure your ticket quick so not to miss this fabulous event.

The admission is $100 per person and with provided transport, it is $128pp.

Transport from New Plymouth to the event has been made easy, with a coach departing the TAFT offices at 10.30am and returning back to the same address at 3pm.
